Orientation Day

 May 6, 2023

Today I met 21 other anxious, nervous, excited cyclists!

After a solo 20 mile shake out ride, the bike and equipment is ready……am I?  I am SO ready to get this underway!

We met for an orientation this afternoon.  There was a round of introductions from the riders (22) and staff (8).  Seems like a committed bunch.  We learned about the schedule for life on the tour as well as safety tips.  Then came the dreaded test of changing a flat tire.  I picked up a few helpful pointers and eventually all tires were successfully changed.

An early dinner with Erika and likely an early to bed for me with sleep will be filled with anticipation!

Tomorrow is the Grand Depart from Manhattan Beach Pier!
